I almost didn’t do this trip but knowing that I could squeeze in a day to explore made it so worthwhile 🙌.

Some days it’s easy to make lemonade, and some days it’s not.

I caught myself in a total instagram spiral of “not _____ enough”. You know, the kind that happens when comparison turns its ugly head? My “not enough” usually hits hard with work/career matters and missing friends.

I thought about my oldest friends that are all thousands of miles away and how I barely have time to deeply connect with the ones that I’ve made here. Then I thought about how all of my energy and time got flipped upside down with parenthood and how I’m still - three years later - trying to find my perfect stride. I default to this for so many work related “not enoughs” and it’s just not fair.

Admittingly I am a little stressed, and mid PMS, but even if it felt like I didn’t have enough compared to someone else’s abilities, energy, time, yadi yadi yah ... when I stopped my pity party, turned to gratitude, and gave my loves a kiss under the roof we call home, I was reminded that I had more than enough.
